When we looked for simple Fund Accounting Software we found most to have hundreds of features we didn’t need or even understand. We created Aplos with the opposite in mind, which is why we proudly have only six primary buttons on the home screen. Aplos won’t let you “mess up” either, for example you can only post a journal entry if it is in balance. If you don’t know what a journal entry is then use our Cash Transactions Button like a checkbook – it will handle 95% of your transactions anyway. Wow, that is simple.
  

Efficient:

While we have nothing against accounting, we did not want to spend a lot of time in the books. Aplos was designed with the part-time volunteer in mind, which is why when you enter transactions Aplos automatically populates your giving statements and also automatically updates your people database. Not even a CPA and look, you are doing three things at once! There is also a dashboard available on every screen that allows you to do some quick calculations on the calculator or find an account balance without losing your place or your work – nice. Wow, that is efficient. 		 

Flexible:

Since no two organizations have exactly the same needs, we created a flexible program to meet your needs. You can use the standard chart of accounts we set up or you can edit, add, and delete accounts until your heart’s content. Same goes for groups and funds. Changing funds has a bonus feature: you can change the color of money by fund. Flexibility is taken to new heights in the reports section. You can drag and drop fields to modify your reports and watch the changes take place before your very eyes. Wow, that is flexible.
