Considering Outsourcing Your Accounting?

Starting a new organization, whether a non-profit or church, creates a huge list of responsibilities and tasks.  One of the most obvious tasks is the management of finances using fund accounting practices.  We have written several articles or referred you to websites that hopefully lend fund accounting help.  To those of you who prefer to remain unaquainted with all the terminology and processes and would rather outsource you needs, this article is for you.  You might be surprised at how intuitive accounting might be when given a simple accounting software like Aplos.

Before my husband and I began our own non-profit, tackling a list of financial “to do’s” and seeking to understand all the terminology seemed quite intimadating. I envisioned myself spending hours and hours in front of a computer working tirelessly to not only enter our contributions and receipts, but working through a software manual in an effort to make sure I had not missed anything.  Most fund accounting software for churches and non-profits lists’ of features, tabs, menus, and buttons, intimidate even the most experienced accountant.  Can you imagine what that kind of software must do to a novice?  I am not surprised at the growing number of individuals choosing to outsource simply based on intimidation and the lack of confidence in their own ability.  I am here to tell you that fear does not have to be a factor and we want Aplos to build your confidence in this area!  At the very least, consider the amount of money spent outsourcing or if you need to outsource in the beginning, consider making the transition and consider Aplos as a solution that might save your organization time and money.  If you understanding budgeting, Aplos gives you the ability to begin managing your organization’s fund accounting today!
